Veil Nebula & Leo Trio was created by michaeloconnell
Image of M65, M66 and NGC3628 from last night.
33 x 4min exposures, Pentax refractor
M66 is at bottom centre. M65 is at right centre with NGC3628 in the upper right.
Got the UV-IR cut filter and was able to focus a bit better. Stars look a little less bloated, I think. I've tried not to overprocess it and just keep it natural looking. Difficult for me to tell whether I have or not though as I've been looking at it all the time.
Image from early this morning.
30 x 4 min exposures of the Eastern portion of the Veil Nebula in Cygnus. ST8 and Pentax refractor. Apologies to dial-up users for the size of the image but I needed to keep it as a large size jpg to hold the detail.
Hope your not all getting tired of my photos at this stage.
Regards,

Very nice indeed Michael. Did you have much trouble processing the Veil with all those background stars?

why else would I log on? This is what it's all about beautiful images. So crisp! I have to say the quality of images on the boards in general has been inspiring recently.
