Frank,

The M3 shot was with the 10" LX200. 30 second exposures with the H16 for LRGB, 15 subframes each at 1x1 ie 2048x2048. Autoguided with piggy backed 80mm apo with SXVM7C using Astroart. I had to reject about 8% of the subframes due to guiding correction movements. The 80mm is probably not good enough to guide an F10 scope but its more likely a problem with polar alignment.

Fantastic image Kieran.
I have to say its how I see it in the scope, had a look at it only last night, have you tried M13, 92 or 53. M53 would be alot tougher.

The colour balance (as well as the background 'clean-up') look much better, more natural now Kieran, well done!

Can I borrow the big guy? Otherwise I will give M53 a shot with my half pint 10" next weather window.

yes, if you have a Paramount to it put it onto.
If the scope can see the spiral arms of M51 and some detail and shapes of many others and resolve globulars down to the core, imagine what a 5 minute exposure with it could give you.
