har har har

Fair play to him, he's just trying to do his best, keeping us young amateur astronomers enlightened with the 'relatively' nearby, jewels of the cosmos.
Didn't realise until I discovered this forum that alot of people are actually really interested in astronomy, I mean anyone that ever asked what I was interested in, I would reply physics & astronomy, would go eh k and look at you like you've two heads...
Good to see there are others out there! :)

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time. . . .

Not that this is a closet society Karl, but when you see that approximately 12 clubs are actively running across the country, plus a few more professional bodies, with almost 1,200 registered members here alone, it's easy to see that astronomy has become one of the more favoured sciences for people growing up! :)

You are not alone, :)

A friend of mine said to me that been an astronomers in Ireland is like been a member of the Jamaican bob slaying team given the weather here (no disrespect to them, you know what I'm trying to say)
