For anyone interested, I used a slightly different technique when shooting and processing for this image. Each shot I took was at a different shutter speed. Hence the individual frames all had different exposures, bringing more items into detail depending on their distance from the terminator. I will try this technique more scientifically (conciously) next time and maybe I can bring out more detail on the bright limb by adding in a few very short exposures and the longer exposures should see that the terminator is adequately detailed.
For processing all I did was use a panoramic stitch, and as all photos are of the same item it just layered them on top of each other. A bit of levels adjustment and unsharp mask was all that was then required.
