Three from this morning was created by paulevans
I tried some imaging last night but the haze and consequent LP was just too much for anything meaningful to be captured - not even the NAN shone through, so I gave up and went to bed, got up just after 0530 BST this morning when there was still a little darkness left and generally better clarity though still a lot of high level cloud about.

So here's Orion. Not a very deep image (no Flame or Horsehead) but note colour and detail in M42.

And M45 and the Hyades.

And towards the oncoming dawn, here, from the right, Venus, Regulus and Saturn! Is this the first glimpse of Saturn from Ireland this time around?

A good nights work Paul, I very much like the shot of Orion, I always appreciate great colours in those stars!

Very nice mate. i'd say you are the first to snap Saturn well done.

Further to this I got a short look at Saturn in my spotting scope early this morning - through a window as well as bad seeing - the wind was approaching gale force - and the rings have very obviously closed up since I last saw them in June or thereabouts. The southern part of the planet is now much more visible - no detail visible though.

Looking forward to seeing more shortly!
