Wow, the dumbell looks huge! I can't believe that this was taken from cherrymount! your house must be at most a couple of hundred yards away from where my parents house is, this is where I started astronomy back in 1995 :P

A good image steve considering the very bad light pollution there now

Keith..

Thanks for the tips Kieran...... I will try those on the next bout of image processing!!!!!!

Keith.... so you are a "Cherrymount (or thereabouts)head!!??", yep there is a fair bit of light pollution here alright. You must pop in for a cup o tea sometime!!!

Carl, I used Deep Sky Stacker to align and stack the images and then levels, curves, saturation and the like in Photoshop...

Thanks for the comments lads

The lads above have said it all, a grand big image, a small few tweaks with the processing will give you a fab image.

Celestron 11" SCT John!

A stack of 8 x 90 second exposures @ ISO1600, Canon 350D, CGE 11 at Prime Focus (F10). Stacked in DSS and finalised in Photoshop. Location: Cherrymount, Waterford

:D

Nice work there Steve, some great colours there. Filament structure has been captured nicely.
