Wow, the dumbell looks huge! I can't believe that this was taken from cherrymount! your house must be at most a couple of hundred yards away from where my parents house is, this is where I started astronomy back in 1995

Great to see your getting on with the Scope.With a full moon out that is a very good start. Did you combine the images in photoshop or some other softwere.

Keith.... so you are a "Cherrymount (or thereabouts)head!!??", yep there is a fair bit of light pollution here alright. You must pop in for a cup o tea sometime!!!
Carl, I used Deep Sky Stacker to align and stack the images and then levels, curves, saturation and the like in Photoshop...

Celestron 11" SCT John! :oops:
A stack of 8 x 90 second exposures @ ISO1600, Canon 350D, CGE 11 at Prime Focus (F10). Stacked in DSS and finalised in Photoshop. Location: Cherrymount, Waterford
