Seanie, this is 9 shots taken between 2008 and 2011. I looked at a chart before I came out noting the approximate position of the comet relative to visible things - Arcturus, Cor Caroli and Melotte 111. Took some shots of the general area with a 50mm lens then when I saw the comet on the screen, moved the camera until it was central then substituted the 135mm lens. Took 5 sec subs which is the longest one can get away with without trailing on an undriven mount with this lens.
Of course I have yet to see the light of this comet with my own eyes!

Very nice paul.
This week with the Moon out of the way it is easy to find in Coma passing 3 deg from M64 (Black eye galaxy) and 5deg from M53 (globular)
It is also just 10' from nice mag 9 galaxy NGC 4725 tonight.
View early, as evening twilight fades, around 8pm
