Thanks Michael. Being a mere mortal of limited means I use Photoshop Elements 5 rather than the full blown version at 10x the price!

Yes, though I used the standard - ie non-magnetic lassoo to create the selection on that one.

What I do is I use the magic wand and select the background sky. Then I inverse it so that it selects all the Moon, then feather with a value of say 15 or 20, and then sharpen with the Smart Sharpen option.

That's interesting Michael - I shall try that one though one of the features of Full Photoshop that Elements misses is the Smart Sharpen - it has Unsharp Mask and Adjust Sharpness which can of course be applied to selections.

Give it a try Paul with the unsharp mask and see what happens. Keep your sharpening radius to about 2 though. I'd be interested to hear how you find that technique.
