I've been running in and out all evening occasionally catching a few minutes of good seeing. Very fast moving low cloud here with slower heavy dark cloud higher up, just getting the occasional bit when the sky is fantastically clear, that wind seems to have blown all the moisture out of the way. I can't leave this thing alone, its fascinating.

John, how did you see it?, its blanket fast moving clouds here.

You could be on to something there Kieran. My hunch is perhaps something like sigma clipping is to blame. I confess I don't understand the finer points of registax. Maybe something in registax is doing it.

Hi
Just managed to get a glimpse of the comet in the 8" before the clouds moved in. I reckon it is very slighty asymmetric. Possibly a line of sight effect-perhaps we will see some sort of a tail appear.
