Just to warn you away from NY Cameras as initially suggested.
It seems like the company have gone bust and those who shelled out money are camera-less.

I had a look at those websites you recommended and ordered one of those spare batteries. You couldn't go wrong with batteries that cheap. While there, I also got a miniture card reader. This should speed up download time. I've noticed that when downloading images from the camera, it takes a long time and drains the camera battery.
I was in Dublin yesterday and noticed that Jessops have opened a shop on Westmorland St., (across the road from Trinity College near that shop that sells all those unbelieveably stinky soaps) While there I got a UV filter for the camera lens so as to protect it from scratches and a lens hood. Total price for both was 25euro, which wasn't too bad I thought. They have a very good selection of cameras and accessories in there.
