I saw Saturn last night for the first time this season and the rings are almost gone in comparison to previous yearsThat's excellent work Greg! Here's a challenge for you - Saturn ought to be bright enough in the coming months for you to get a shot at least clearly showing the rings and very possibly the Cassini division too as well as the shadow of the planet on the rings.
Seeing all the cassini division is now becoming a real serious challenge.

Well done welcome to the world of Astrophotography the image you took is very good. The best tool for doing the planets is a webcam it works by capturing thousands of images a much cleaner and sharper image can be obtained by aligning and stacking the highest quality images to produce one great image.
What you are aiming to do is use multiple images to increase the SIGNAL and decrease the NOISE.
