:)
A much better image of mars there Dave!
(I think I over did it with the 'red' in my one)
It's easier to see the details when the levels, especially the colours, are
left somewhat alone.

That area 'Chaos' is a very obvious feature once you notice it eh?

It certainly is,
I though it would be abit of fun to go and try figure out what the bigger craters on the lunar south pole image are called.

Anyone able to figure out what the mountain range above casatus is called.?

I didn't find a name for this 'mountain range'. However, in fact there are two high mountains that can be seen at times, together with mountain ridges and lesser peaks. The existence of these peaks on the walls have been measured micrometrically. (Rukl)

There are other associated craters to the south of Casatus, namely A, K and D. D is at the edge of the 'mountain range'. Beyond that group there is Drygalski.

Dave, you'll have to get in touch with the IAU Nomenclature Commision and propose a name.

Dave,
any chance you can take down the data size of your images? I was on a dial up connection yesterday, and it took quite a while for this post to load.

Most of the images are about 0.3megs with one at 0.45m I would have thought that they wouldn't have been so bad on dial up, I'll try keep them at 0.2megs from now on.
You should have seen the size of the originals.
