Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Hi there, and Happy Christmas
I was just browsing through the January issue of Sky & Telescope, they feature a lot of images by Akira Fuji and they are amazing. His images of constellations and wide field views of the Milky Way are simply stunning.
I found many more on the web and they are breathtaking and well worth checking out.

Paul,
Akira Fujii is a contributing photographer to S&T and hence for the high frequency of images. He is of course well-known for his widefield work ... he is also well known for his desire to suppress or hide details surrounding his photos.

I suppose if you take this stuff very seriously then you might not want others to be as good as you so you'll keep your secrets to yourself......, is this what you mean Anto.?

Anto,
I don't understand the context of your statement regarding Fujii's images.
Could you elaborate from your quotation below.
"he is also well known for his desire to suppress or hide details surrounding his photos"
BTW, have a wonderful and peaceful Xmas.

Fujii's images are awesome indeed.
It'd be interesting to hear more about this desire to keep the details of
his shots to himself.
I guess if he does do that then he's perfectly entitled to do so.
But whats the point?

This is precisely it. He takes things "too competitively" and will not divulge even the slightest detail (ex. camera or lens), let alone filters, processing etc.
It is quite sad ... what is there to gain by being secretive?
