Two Comets for the price of one was created by Keith g
All, I quickly got this shot of both Comet 17P/Holmes and Comet 8P/Tuttle in the same field last night before the clouds once agin rolled in. It's not often that you can shoot 2 comets in the same frame. This shot shows a lot of objects, which really I should have labelled. Comet Holmes is at left and Comet Tuttle is the small green diffuse object between M31 and M33 at right. Also seen is the double cluster, M34 and NGC 752.
But I'm asking the following - which shot is better?? The original is first, but I thought that there were way too many stars in there  or - I've eliminated some of the stars using a freeware program called hot pixels which shows all these objects a lot better. Which shot is better??????
Canon 400D, 32mm L lens at f3.5, ISO 800, 165 seconds before the cloulds had their way

Both are fantastic images Keith.
I prefer the first one.
However, if it were me, I'd remove the trail from the plane in the top left corner.
That was taken with the 17-40mm L was it? Colours of stars look better than your previous images - alot less CA.

Super shot Keith!
I much prefer the first one also.
I too think you should get rid of the plane trails (I' just photoshop 'em out)
I've my fingers x'd that it'll be clear tonight so i can get a chance to head to the coast to see Tuttle.
BTW, was it naked eye or what Mag would you estimate it to be right now?
