Dave Mc. I see what you mean about the eggy stars. Primarily coma. When I get the Televue corrector that will improve a lot. Looking closely there is a tiny bit of guiding issues too. Guess some nights it just works some nights it don't.
I do think the coma is a small price to pay for the benefits a fast f/4 scope brings. It helps no end with the astrometry. Detail is just so much sharper.
