Hey Neill, the adaptor mimics an eyepiece - ie it goes inside the tube so the external diameter isn't an issue.

I maybe didn't explain the problem that well. The inside of the piece in the picture has no thread for screwing, the thread is on the outside which implies a 1.75 inch camera adaptor??.

A-ha, then you may have what is called "Direct SLR connection" which means that there is a T2 thread already there. If that's what it is then your existing Canon T2 mount may even screw directly onto that thread - give it a go.

If it fits, then you are sorted. The camera may end up at an odd angle which you can change by loosening the three grub screws within the T-mount, rotating the camera to a better position then retightening.

It'll be very handy if these are t-threads so basically your cameras t-ring will go onto it, if not you'll need the 1.25 inch adapter.
