Hi all,
With a day off work.I decided to reprocess a Saturn images from last year to see how far I came on with the processing techniques. And was I surprised with the results.
Here is an image from last February.
And here is the same image that I processed today
It is a small bit grainy but the difference is very noticeable.
If anyone wants to see how i did it I will show you at Galway Starparty.

The colour in the 1st pic is better but the graininess of it has been eliminated in the second.
Were they both taken with the same gear? I assume so.
Myself.............i would be happier with a little colour loss if it meant the graininess was eliminated.
So in THAT respect the second pic runs rings around the first (excuse the pun).
BOTH great pics........................
God knows................Saturn in my scope is but a mere dot compared..........BUT I'M HAPPY.

I stand corrected..........................
Now i look closer the colour in the second image is more natural. Its more pleasing on the eye.
FAR SUPERIOR pic....................
You have come a long way in 1 yr young jedi.
SORRY i thought they were 2 pics taken 12 mths apart. They are the SAME pic but processed 12 mnths apart.
Seems you have mastered the process.
Even the black of space is blacker in the second pic.

Difference?....
What difference?
Carl,
I bet you're thankful now for the crap weather lately!
It go's to show you should never delete your AVI's!
I'd be interested to see what you did the second time around to get it better.
