Hello Sisters was created by JohnMurphy
I finally got time this evening to process the last of Sunday nights pics. M45 was a good target (big) to try out the new Sigma 70-300mm APO DG lens piggybacked on my C102SLT. You can just about make out some nebulosity around the Sisters, next time I'll try longer exposures - though the light pollution from my back yard is a killer. 9x30" exposures at ISO200. Criticism welcome.
This is the small one:

Just to remind you here is the first DS shot I took back in February 2007.
A marked improvement I think. Now I think its time to upgrade my mount and scope. I'm thinking of getting the C8NGT. What do you reckon?

As mentioned I am thinking of buying the Celestron C8N-GT. Can anyone tell me if this still comes with a piggyback mount for the camera, or do I need to purchase this seperately?

I believe it comes seperately John, but dont quote me on that. They can be purchased seperately for the 8" though, but not for the 6"

Thanks but its the 8" Newtonian on the CG5-GT mount I am talking about though. I know they can be purchased seperately for the SCTs (I haven't seen one for the Newts), but the piggyback adapters used to come as standard with the 8" Newt, just wondering if that's still the case?
