Hi Keith

Thanks. No Autoguiding used at all (Santa might help at xmas 2008), just the mount polar aligned.

I can't better what the guys said above Steve, cracking shot. I am intrigued about how your stars and nebulae have a lovely aura about them. An artefact of dew on the lens perhaps? It works for me.

Wow, that is really superb - unmodded camera from the city! I didn't think that was possible with this target!

Terriffic Steve! How, with just polar alligned mount did you get 60 second exposures? From what I understand, for a standard mount, although it will keep an object reasonably centered for a good long period of time, 30 sec exposures are about the max without some trailing.

Thanks folks... you are too kind!!!

Trevor: .. either did I, .....butI had to try it!!! I thought that if I got enough frames in (62) that something should pop out. ...... and it did, to my surprise!!

fguihen: With the camera at prime focus on the scope I was getting about 30 sec exposures without trailing, but that was at 2800mm focal length, so I tought at 500mm, I might get a bit more time out of it... I rekon 120 sec is the limit, though without guiding.

Of course, I am now looking at "guiding scopes" and "guiding accessories" as we speak!!!!!... the missus will be upset........... again!!!

Tis a terrible addiction we have!!
