Saturn 5th Feb 08 was created by Frank Ryan
Last night was a cracker.
I finally got a good nights use of the 12''Dob.
Saturn was riding high so I turned my attention to it.
I know I've said it before but the rings are closing fast!
I took a quick webcam shot..
Rough processing (done at 4:30AM!)
I could only use 15fps for some reason.
I tried the 5xBarlow and got a few AVIs but they were all very noisy.
After all my mumbling about the ETX (well the battery really)
I think we've kissed and made up.

Frank,
What barlow did you use for that one, those rings are certainly closing!

Very nice image Frank. Lovely colours and detail.
If thats how narrow the rings are in a 12"?
I'd imagine they are now all but invisible in my scope.
Good thing we have guys like you to keep us up to date with up to date pics taken with larger scopes.

Well done Frank, nice image there, great detail and colour.
Is that with the spc900?
I too have been getting alot of noise at long focal lengths, using the Philips webcam!
I have been contemplating purchasing one of the DMK models recently!!!
