Frank,

What have you started.... I just had to have a go having see the great images posted by yourself and Paul. It is incredibly difficult to get the image on the webcam chip for more than a few frames at a time. Here is my first attempt tonight (10th) at the 18:39 pass.
I was surprised to see the colour of the panels in the first image  I only got two usable frames form the first 15 second AVI and about 15 from the second. They are both over exposed, I used the Moon limb as a standard and for focusing.

Cool images guys. I was trying myself on Saturday evening's (both) passes, but nothing worthwhile to post. Frank and Paul, well done.

Way to go guys. Some superb shots.

Last time I asked you Frank you were manual guiding, is this still the case?

Yeah.
Since the last time I've acquired a new piece of equipment
which helps out with the tracking,
her name is Terry! (my wife)
:D

No, it's still the same malarkey,
I focus and set the exposure on something bright (e.g. The Moon)
Get the red dot finder as accurate as possable,
then (and here is where the new piece of equipment comes in)
when the ISS / Shuttle passes over Ter clicks record as I
(by hand) track the OTA onto the spaceships hoping to catch a few seconds
of them on the webcam.

The thing I've learned is that it's ver easy to overexpose / underexpose.

It's great craic all the same and
surprising the level of detail you can pick up.

The next challenge:
Capture a picture an astronaut on EVA (spacewalking.)
That will be a worldwide first.
The first image of a human being in space taken from the ground.
Guinness Book of World Records stuff.
