Those pics are great lads. I'm just so amazed you can zoom in on it from here...........let alone track it.
Did you catch the docking online earlier? it was pretty amazing.

Hey Paul, yes, I watched a lot of the docking on NASA TV today - great stuff but it takes such an age!
The tracking bit is hit and miss - I took 123 pictures of which most were blank and only two were really good - it's a scattergun approach but it works
That I can get a photograph of an object just a bit bigger than my house at a distance equivalent to London to Newcastle is nothing short of amazing.

Updated the images to include a current view of the ISS configuration.
Paul, thats one fine single shot.
I'm itching to try this with a bigger scope...
(ahem..)
Eh Dave!

Tell me about it. I was watching for over 2 hrs right up until they confirmed that there were no air leaks between the shuttle and ISS.
I was heading out for dinner and didnt see any more.
I have to say seeing the shuttle roll over so its belly was face up so the guys on the ISS could take pics of its heat shield was SOMETHING ELSE.
Not to metion the onboard cam on the ISS showing the astronauts floating about in zero grav.
Without actually being there.............NASATV is the nxt best thing.
Absolutely captivating viewing.
I have never had such an interest in shuttle launches etc as i have had in the last couple of days.
From now on i wont miss a single one.
It is just so surreal to see it up close and LIVE and also the docking from 200 miles above the earth traveling at over 17,000 MPH.
INCREDIBLE STUFF.
I'm hooked.

I think the Meade autostar claims to be able to track satellites.

Wow Frank,
What a great shot. How Do track it manually when it is moving so fast. I know there is a Progamme out there that can make the Scope track the ISS and other satalites. I must get the name of DG. I would like to try it in the C14 easier said than done
