All I took is 5 shots ;-) was created by Keith g
Hello all, It is a really clear and sharp night tonight, despite the very bright moon, I could'nt wait to try out my new toy - a Canon ef 70-200mm f2.8 L lens :P

Usually with the moon so bright, I would'nt consider a widefield piggyback shot, but here is the minimum, Orion's belt and nebula, it's just a stack of five 1 minute shots at ISO 400, f3.5, I'm delighted with this lens already, the detail is great :P

And this was a test with the moon nearby!

Well now that's a result Keith! Any filters involved?

That Moon sure is bright - I was using 1/1250th f4 ISO200 on it tonight.

Cracking shot Keith! As also an owner of a 70 to 300mm lens, this shot gives me a great deal on inspiration. Tell me, was this shot (each of the 1 minute shots) tracked?

You can really see the benefits of those L lenses in that image!

Great shot Keith. I was also practising on Orion but working off a standard tripod unguided.

Keep up the good work

Beaut shot Keith. Is that the IS version of the lens?

Seanie, what you and I own lens wise are bottle ends compared to this baby. The L series are professional grade lenses and are priced to match, especially an F2.8. Something like 23 elements in 18 groups and the Image Stabilized (IS) version costs around $1700 last time I checked. Drool....
