Somewhat Astronomy realted - Moon Photo Tips was created by voyager
I guess some of you may find this interesting and it is sort of astronomy realted as it does involve our nearest celestial neighbour.
I've just finished an article on including the Moon in your photos. I'm not talking about the fantastic shots we see here of the Moon in detail but rather getting the moon into shots of buildings and landscapes.
You can find the article here: www.bartbusschots.ie/blog/?p=709

Bart,
Nice work and especially nice photos!
I have some tips at the following link for getting the rising full moon with landscape using a single exposure: www.perseus.gr/Astro-Lunar-Scenes-Parthenon-03.htm ... feel free to use the info if it is of interest!

Thanks for the kind words Anthony. I've added in a final section to the article with a link to your page. That shot really shows what can be acheived, something for everyone to aspire to.

Extremely good Bart.
Some of the most celebrated photos ever taken were those of the moon by Ansel Adans.

Nice work Bart. Must get myself a 200mm lens.
Recent image taken of the Moon-Venus-Jupiter conjunction as seen from the Florida Keys last month.

Would have been nicer to capture it with a longer focal length lens too. At least your article helps in the selection of a lens now.

Thanks for the links Mark, most interesting. And that's a fabulous picture Michael. You managed to get a lot of stars as well as chrisp clouds, no mean feat! They look like the kind of clouds that tend to move very fast, you mush have kept the exposure quite short and really upped the ISO or something? Would love to know the details of the that shot if you still have them and the camera used.
