Bart, It was taken with my 400d and 18-55mm lens.
For this exposure, I set it to 18mm, f/4.5, ISO800, 6 sec exposure. I didn't go any higher with the ISO as I was afraid of getting too much noise in the image.

I have the same noise problem with my Nikon D40. Once you go above 800 all bets are off.

Me too with my EOS 300D ... it gets really ugly at ISO 1600. I always do my best to shoot as high as ISO 400 and no more.
