Fantastic !!!! those deep deep shadows , were something else, this evening. What a view, what a clear ,well defined view. I thought I was seeing things, it was so so good.

It was actually almost more impressive in my 10x50s - it was a case of "What's that great big lump sticking out of the Moon??"

I went out intending to sketch Proclus and its enviorns but when I saw Clavius there was no contest.

Glad you guys had a good night. the moon and saturn were swiming all over the eyepiece for me tonight. Last night was perfect though.
