Hi Dave,
The Baader ones are temptingly cheap but they are coloured glass rather than dichroic or interference. Apparently the transmission is far less than the other brands.
I don't think they are parfocal either but not sure about that. I know the Meades, Astrodons, Astronomik and Custom Scientific ones are so I was going to go with one of them to save having to refocus for each colour.

Trev - from what I've read in recent months, no filters are precisely parfocal... I heard that the Baaders were very good but that could have been ha, OIII etc

I dont know if the red green blue meade filters are good enough really, how would you know their relative weights in photoshop.

I have a complete set of Baader narrowband imaging filters and I hope to have results when the #$*(&$^&!# weather gets back to its normal self. This year has been tremendously unproductive so far.
From what I have read and seen, the narrowband filters from Baader are excellent. Time will tell when I get my first results.

I would not worry about the weights for QE balance since this is a one-time exercise we must go through for any set of filters using a G2V star for calibration purposes: www.perseus.gr/Astro-Tips-G2V-Star-Calibr.htm

Trevor, for LRGB imaging proper interference filters are a must. Dont be temped by ordinary dyed filters. They are simply not good enough. I use the astronomik ones and they really are great. Astrodons are much pricier and I really don't see why. Looking at the transmission curves the astronomiks are just as good.
