the saturation looks a little high to me. If you were to tone this down a little, I think it would help. But that's just my eyes.
After looking at the image on my good PC Mon I have to agree.
Other than that its a great image.
As for the LRGB craic,
I was tempted a while back to buy a DMK mono but I think I'll
just get the colour.
I'm just too lazy.

Hi Michael,
I think I get your question why is colour easier than mono?. Well as you know monochrome cameras are much more sensitive than colour cameras. With a colour webcam you just have one image to run through registax and then a little touch up in photoshop and hey presto image complete. Now with a B&W camera you have four times the work to do.At the Scope you have to take four separate images consisting of 1-L 1-R 1-G 1-B so then you run them each in registax, Then you bring your images into photoshop where you combine your four bitmaps to get your image of Saturn. At the end of the day you are supposed to get a lot more detail from a mono Camera, but there is a lot more work involved. Just one reason why I tell people starting off planetary imaging to stick with a colour camera until they get more experienced. I hope this answers your question.
No, the point I was making is that it is much easier not to bother with a colour all - no colour camera! - no colour filters! - just use a mono camera and take a mono image. Heck of a lot easier! If someone (like Seanie for example) asks for an image in colour, just tell them to get lost!

Like the lads said, the colour is a tiny bit too strong, all the same it doesn't really take away from it. nice one !

Frank if you are thinking of doing planetary imaging a go Then DKM are a fantastic camera for the price and the results are WOW . DKM asked me to do a review on one but just don't have the time or the weather. I really want to give this camera a good going over.Declan McCormick has it at the moment giving it a try.

I've seen one in action thanks to John O Mahony who
brought one up to the burren one night.
It was on my list when I went to the US in march but
everywhere was out of stock of the USB colour version.
Oh well.
