Hi Folks
got out last night and took a couple of shots of moon through skyklux 70mm refractor
It was hard to get focus bang on, as my skylux has seen better days, but link above is to best one.
Canon 450D iso 100 1/80th sec
Processed in PS. Any hints or tips on processing moon shots would be appreciated
Thanks

Nice one. It was too late when I noticed the moon was out last night myself.
A question for yourself. What exactly is your set up with the Skylux? I'd say I've mentioned on here before about getting a T-Mount and adapter, but I just cannot focus the Skylux when connected to the camera. Am I missing something?
I'd like to get it working, as even with a 1.4X TC, the reach still isn't the best.

Hi
I use a t ring and adapter in place of lens. T-ring goes on camera and adapter connects to that and slides into focuser like an eyepiece. I seem to have no problem getting it to achieve focus. My Skylux is one of the older models so I cannot say if the new models are set up the same with respect to focus distances etc.
see here www.weasner.com/etx/reviews/2005/scopetronix_pfa.html set up camera and ring / adapter the same way and use with skylux instead of eyepiece.

Thats a good effort Trevor, you've captured some good detail on the terminator. As for processing, I just always try to have the shot looking as natural as possible.
