Trevor, totally agree with all everybody said, a great sight and er... site
I suppose it's easy to quit this hobby what with crap recession, crap weather this year, which has been the worst for a long time. But I'm not giving up after that!

but what a way to go.

Those are some great shots there Trevor.
It's good to get under the sky and keep the interest alive, hence the 11 hour observing sessions.:laugh:
Wasn't Venus re-appearing from behind the moon cool or what !!!
for a few seconds it reminded me of the diamond ring you get at a solar eclipse, and then after a few more minutes when Venus was sufficiently away form the moons edge, it was easy to imagine that Venus was illuminating the moon and causing the crescent shape, definitely a cool experience.!
