First ever DSLR astro shot was created by johnomahony
Finally my Canon 450D arrived via DHL from Pixmania. I took it out this evening to see how it worked in the moonlit sky. Below is my first meagre attempt at the Pleiades. A 10 second shot with the moon in the same field of view (cropped out).

The live view function does make focusing easier. I'd love to try this camera out in the Burren some night.
