This is my first effort at imaging Venus. It was jumping around the imaging area like a ping pong ball!!! Was glad to get something.

800



Taken from Cherrymount, Waterford, Ireland at approx 6.00pm, 08Feb 2009. DMK camera, Baader Continuum (Solar) Filter, CGE 1100. Best 800 out of 5000, seeing rather bad. It is a challenging target!!

Super shot Steve.

I was observing Venue over the weekend and the image was just boiling away with the atmospheric distortions.

Same here DB. the seeing here lately has been
the worst I've seen in a while.

Nice catch though Steve!
I was wondering when I'd see a new shot of Venus on the boards.
