That's a cool image Steve, good sense of depth there, captured nicely, even if it appears dark.

Excellent shot Steve - lovely tight edge to the crescent which is hard to get with a "jumping Venus". To get it a bit steadier maybe try a red or IR filter.

Many thanks for the encouragement folks. Much appreciated.
Dave, I forget to mention that I used a Baader Continuum Solar Filter (about 540nm), which I normally would use for Sunspots, on the camera. The thinking being that the Sunlight would be reflecting off the thick cloud cover of Venus. It also has a reasonably narrow band pass at the 540nm Wavelength, however, it was most certainly jumping around the place even using that. Would you reckon, I would get a steadier result using a Red or IR Filter?
Best regards
steve

Hi Steve,
What a fine image if Venus is your thing you should invest in a Venus Filter it will allow you to image some of the beautifully cloud detail on Venus. www.company7.com/baader/options/u-filter.html
