Michael,
Is that image of saturn with the LPI or DSI ?
I'd imagine more frames will get rid of the noise, how many did you use??
For example, the image I have on one of the other posts (reprocessing old AVIs) is over 1200 frames.

Dave,
for that image I combined three 150 frame AVI's the end image used just 231 frames out of the 450.
Bill,
It could be a resource problem, memory or disk space. Try to turn off any unnecessary items like Anti Virus etc. and check the free disk space. A couple of AVI's can gobble up the free disk space quickly. Just a thought!

Bill,
each time I try to open the picture in the DSI imaging processor it closes down.

Big time!, you need to be real carefull with AVIs, they can be massive !!!
A number fo times, I almost filled the HD of my laptop, but I always got away with it and deleted them.

Bill - got your PM. Will email you a full response - I certainly know what *one* of your issues is.
As for your images, despair not. I think I can help there also. I've been hacking around with the DSI for the last few nights and am starting to get a grip of it. The camera itself (well, at least mine) seems a little temperamental at times and the software, the less said about that the better.
I get the same error messages as you when opening a file and I know what the problem is and how to fix it.
The Jupiter shot is a mystery though - but I'm not surprised.
Don't delete the images yet - keep hold of them and if possible we can take a look and fix the problem.
Cheers
Dave

As james Butler said in another thread, this forum is great for help, and encouragement. My despondency is lifting
