Dave McD Great to see you back online I've missed your lovely wit and charm. But your right about the stars I must go investigating It's probably the filter not sitting right. It's the 50mm flat glass held into the filter wheel with a rubber washer.

Your right about the narrowband It's the sort of imaging I would love to try due to the amount of light pollution here is Balbriggan. I was looking at some 3nm filters on astrodon website that would make color imaging available all month long, regardless of the moon light The only draw back is that each filter cost $800 But I'm a true believer you get what you pay for.
