Nice shots above lads. Got to see the final few minutes before the penumbra was all gone. Lots of people tuned in to the show last night from around the country (and some from Europe, online!) and sent in a few photos and their thoughts on it. Nice to see/hear the public take an interest in it.

I was at the Knockagh Monument overlooking Belfast Lough (54.71123,-5.879275). A band of cloud completely obscured the moon right up until 23:30.
Some of the IAA guys went to Scrabo Tower, I think they were worse off than me.
Got a nice view of Saturn though so it wasn't a complete loss.

Hi
I took these images of last night’s lunar eclipse from Donegal. It was an awe-inspiring show made all the more special after being bitterly disappointed at missing Decembers Eclipse because of cloud.

I am working on other images from last night and if they work out I’ll post them later.
All the best,
Brendan

The last of my photos from last night.
A total lunar eclipse and clear skies, I couldn’t have wish for more. From Donegal, Ireland, Moon rise occurred just after totality but I was still able to capture everything that was visible from my location. I searched google maps and street view for the past few weeks trying to find the best location in the county to view the eclipse from. The pier in Mountcharles, outside Donegal town provided a picturesque setting and a clear a south eastern horizon making it my location of choice. Finally finished with my shots from last night. Here is the last of them.
