Thanks Darragh for that info.
I had a look at the spec of that monitor on dabs.ie.
For some reason, it only has DVI-D and VGA signal input - no HDMI.

Michael,
Just wondering what use is HDMI unless you want to play Blu-Rays as well?
Anyway, I am going to order 2 for Christmas to replace my current dual screen CRT setup.

Darragh,
Really the only difference between HDMI and DVI is that HDMI carries an audio channel and it's more compact. So it would only be useful if your monitor had built in speakers. Quality wise, exactly the same.

I have my PS3 and PC both linked to the same monitor.
PS3 via HDMI. Audio then connected from output on monitor to my speakers.
PC linked via D-SUB cable to monitor.
To listen to audio from the PC, I have to unplug the audio jack from the monitor and plug it into the PC.
If someone has a better suggestion, I would like to hear it as the current setup is a little cumbersome.
Thanks,
Michael.

Well, just to follow up with this thread...
I ended up getting the Dell U2711 monitor.
Factory calibrated. which is very handy - saves on buying a calibration device.
It's got just about every connection possible, including USB and memory card ports.
Really good display - a dream to use.
