Good clear night on Sunday 18th so had a bash at Mars. Sorry I didn’t
head over to the Sugarloaf meet up sounds like you guys had a good time.

A couple of images of Mars, not great but the best I can get from this setup.

Tony - they're great images. I'm surprised you can capture so much detail from such a small aperture.

Very well done and thanks for posting.

Tony, really some lovely detail in there. Looks like you've gotten the procedures nailed down. Perhaps the next step is to up the image scale with a 5x barlow (although I know they dont come cheap!)

Well done.

Thanks guys for all your kind words, it’s nice to get comments
and encouragement from your peers.

Dave. Yeah these little scopes punch way above there weight for there limited aperture.

Dave G. I do have a 5x power mate, thought about it on Sunday night
but the Mak is f12 and at f 60 well … lots of problems focus, keeping object on chip etc.

Last night was reasonably clear so stuck the powermate into 200mm f5 reflector
and had another go at Mars, haven’t processed them yet, will post results if there half decent.

BTW I just came across this capturing software “FireCapture“some nice
features with it, histogram, auto align, focus aid, ROI (region of interest) and lots more.
Check it out.

Thanks Again

Tony
