good shots Reggie, I always think they look better of the background is a little brighter, no harm of over exposing the Moon in this instance, : cheer:

Thanks guys,I got the camera mounted on the dovetail this afternoon so will try a few pics tonight and get a bit of practice with the mount. I'm sure the scope will be fine and would rather wait a bit to get it back right. No doubt once I see the view through it I'll forget all about the problems.

Hey Reggy, I'm sorry to hear about your flt 110, I have one of these and it is a superb scope! It's well worth the wait
Also if you find the light tripod is causing some bluriness, try delaying your shot for 2-10 seconds, i'm sure there is a delay setting on your camera for that, this will let any vibrations damp down befor ethe shutter opens.
Keith.

Thanks Keith, got the delay set up and took a couple of shots of venus at 20 seconds exposure, rock steady result. Just waiting for it to get conpletely dark to try for M42 and M45, was amazed with the detail I got last night even with 5 second shots although wasn't happy with the quality.

Yep, I'm out too what a super night. Try getting multiple shots of the same target, and try deepsky stacker, a free stacking program

I completely concur with Dave, Reggy. When I got my apo back, I noticed immediately noticed William Optics had fitted 2 large screws to the outside of the top part of the main tube. I can easily tighten them with my fingers. They hold the inside focusing tube extremely firm. Perhaps the same mod is being fitted to your flt 110. I have not had a problem since for over 2 years now.
