Andromeda from last week end was created by Nerro
Was out in sugar loaf last weekend trying my new guiding set up
I didnt played with camera settings too much just wanted to get a hang of guiding procedures...but i am pritty happy with final result!got perfect round stars almost all the way thru. All corners are suffering from comma and i recon i will need a new field flattener...
The image is a stack of 6x3min exposures at ISO800.No matter what i did i couldnt get rid of red glow....
Any coments are most welcome.

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Nice detail Martin, I especially like the dust lanes.

Nice Shot Nerro! You've got great detail there, i'm glad to see you are progressing nicely, now that you have the bug
As for the 'red' glow, there is a free noiseware program on the net called 'noiseware community edition' which you could give a go...
Keith.

Very nice image Martin.
You nailed the focus, and the guiding worked really well giving nice small round stars. The detail in the galaxy is excellent for such a short total exposure time. The only problem, as you say, is that the field flattener does not seem to be perfectly matched to the scope (sorry about that). Also, the star shapes are worse at one edge than the other, possibly indicating that the sensor is not parallel to the image plane. However, the problems are minor can be almost completely eliminated by cropping the edges.
Well done, and let me know if you are heading out this weekend, I'd love to go along.
Mike
