Just ensure your mount is in matrimonial tracking mode.

So, they are essentially buying DSLR's, stripping them down then putting them into a machined body with cooling, throwing in a bit of software and kerching, charging 1500? Hmmm. I wonder how the camera compares to other astro cameras of comparable price. Its a good idea but I wouldn't know they are good value.

They seem to be aimed at people who want high res in a one shot colour format. To be fair a good ccd with a third of the resolution will cost you the bones of two grand. The biggest problem I would see is the chip size, I have been using a d90 which has the same chip size as the canon 60d and everything is tiny without a long FL.

Horses for courses I suppose, I'm sure some people will love em and others will hate em.

Clear skies :-)

Or do the job yourself for a fraction of the cost, that's what I did with my 500D, although only the rear cover of the camera is removed in the system I built, I am happy with the cooling too
