Some sort of a tutorial wanted:
Very much a novice when it comes to the night time aspect of DSLR photography, does anyone have a recommended link for learning more from your (Canon 350D) DSLR for astrophotography? Both on T-mounted and freestanding. I Have had my Canon 350D with some great accessories for many years and I still haven't learned all there is to know about F-stops, ISOs, exposure times, depth of field and so much more.

I don't have the time in the evenings to join a photography club, but I have always thought myself, that even a one day workshop on this, where it spills into an evening/night practical session, would prove very useful to me and probably many more people. This is something probably not fit for the summer months, but it could be looked into in the near future in the Autumn.

hi Seanie,

First port of call is www.astropix.com which is hosted by Jerry Lodriguss. I bought his two DVDs though haven't really looked through them in great detail yet. Most of the web site material is actually on the DVDs -- the only additions are video tutorials.

Also, check out the DSLR forum on www.cloudynights.com

Sounds like something IFAS could do :)

I wounder would many people be interested in a half day course covering the basics of SLR photography, basic image processing and a little astrophotography some time in the Autumn?
