Hi Brendan
I have the three FIT files, however Maxim-DL loads them up without issue, however if I use Maxim to Save them as TIF images they are then blank, even stranger is if I load up the FIT files in Nebulosity, they are also blank
Completely Bizzarre

Wow, the screen stretch in Maxim is
Min: 5.4148e-003
Max: 2.5986e-002
That is even more bizzarre, that's why Nebulosity doesn't show anything and why converting to Tif gives me nothing too

So your OIII data is much more "Grainy" than the HA and SII data, was there less frames taken on OIII data?
Will do the combine tomorrow and see what I can acheive

Here's a version of your image, couldn't really bring out the yellows as I think you need to get more data especially on the OIII and SII side, just have a little more confidence in "Stretching", there was much more room to play.

Hi Simon,
Thanks for your efforts and info here. I really like the 'blue' in yours - I have to learn where I am going wrong.....I just cannot get that. As for your other comments in earlier emails ....... late reply because I am in different time zone and also work for a living .........
I think the problem or rather unexpected difficulties you encountered in Maxim is because the FITs you got are 32 bit files. Could this be it? (I don't have Maxim...so have no idea!) That is how I normally save them in PixInsight. If you want I can try get 16 bit files to you via the same route.
Agree 100% about needing more SII & OIII data. At one time I was only thinking of Ha data and the others came later......and now very little compared to the total Ha. As for OIII being more grainy - not sure why. SII & OIII have same time, but still only 25mins each. OIII was taken same night as the SII and some of the Ha and in rotation.....so should not be any worse that the SII anyway.
Did you just do that Pic as straight SHO (for RGB) or do you mix slightly differently? Like I said....I have to learn where to pull that 'lovely' shade of blue out.
Thanks again
