Hi Tony,
You'll see it but it will be small and a fainter then you might think.

EIWF is an abbreviation for “Eire†(EI) and “Waterford†(WF)
“Whiskey Delta†does not refer to the drinking habits of Waterford people.
(Although it should.)
It is a way of saying “WF†over noisy static filled radio links.
Peter.

Just checked.
Failure, it seems, IS an option with you Tony.
The WF in EIWF would be spoken "Whiskey FOXTROTT" not "Delta".
A "Whiskey Foxtrott" sounds like Waterford people all right.

Hi peter,
ye i know  i only thought about that when i left the pc lastnight i was waiting for the reply to my mistake!!!!!! i should of listened to gene krantz more
whiskey delta is also used by atc & pilots....an aeroplane entering waterford controlled airspace would be told : for ie...aer arann operates outta waterford so ATC would say to an inbound aircraft: arann 42whiskey is cleared in to the whiskey delta etc etc
