Welcome Greg!
Saturn's not at its best yet but is a pretty easy catch - if you get up early in the morning! It's currently rising about 2300 and peaking in the south around 0500 - to the naked eye it looks like Regulus has acquired a new twin - through your Skylux (I have one too, from a couple of years back), it will be very obvious which is which!
Good luck!

Hi everybody. This is my 1st post here on IFAS. My name is Paul (you can call me whatever you like) i'm 33 (34 in March) and i live in Killiney (Co. Dublin). My story is the same as many of you in that i started stargazing as a kid using a pair of 7X50 Eikow bins (i still use them).
In the last couple of months my interest in astronomy has flared up almost as much as comet Holmes has, so i decided to invest in a new telescope (i used to have a small reflector scope when i was about 13 yrs old but i sent it to an early grave by taking it apart to clean the inside mirrors). I didnt want to spend a lot of money on my "first scope" and i wanted something that was fairly light to carry. I bought a Celestron 90EQ (been too cloudy to use it much lately so i haven't really given it a good test drive YET).
I am also a member of AI.
Looking forward to getting to know you all and browsing the boards here.

Thanks Seanie. Finally nice to be amongst people with a shared interest....and Irish people at that (It's no good an Australian astronomer telling me to look south just after sunset).

Lol thanks Dave for those words of comfort (although i dont recollect laughing too much at the time). I am just surprised that it took me so long to replace the scope. I guess that speaks volumes for the importance of a pair on Bins for the casual observer.
BTW.............Dave i have been admiring your telescope all day (it's a BIG bugger). Any pics to post of what you can see in it?
