Looking forward to them. As a like-minded budding Bulb setting astrophotographer with a 350D, I like to see what people like you and me come up with, and compare results, learn along the way.

Well...it's going to be a long learning curve for me as I have not taken any astro shots as yet !
One other thing I was wondering...
I have two ways to attach the camera, either directly to the back of the micro-focuser or directly into the 2" diagonal..
Is there any disadvantage to connecting to the diagonal ?
It just seems a little safer for the camera as it won't be pointing directly at the ground.

I used to remove the diagonal when taking shots with my old refractor.
Just on the basis thats its one less obstacle in the line of sight (one less thing to go wrong - dust etc). However it did make for some limbo dancing when taking shots near the zenith (neck breaking focusing).

Hi Brian, there is not a huge disadvantage to doing this, but it just put another piece of glass in your optical path...which will affect image quality slightly
Keith..

Thanks,
I'll probably include the diagonal as it's a pretty good one and I'd feel safer with the camera.
