New comet - Bootes was created by madhatter93
Hi,

A friend of mine has just mentioned that a new comet will appear in Bootes over the next week or so.

Can anyone shed more light on the subject ?

Thanks

Sounds like comet C/2007 F1 LONEOS. I don't know if it is heading INTO Bootes, but it is nearby. Details from Heavens Above . It is an evening object though, and even now I think has been lost for us having just about fallen into the evening twillight.

see

Although this could make magnitude +3 meaning it would be naked eye, it's low down in evening twilight which will make observation challenging.

Definitely worth looking for!
