The so called "over exposure" is part of the effect.
And certainly,I would not crop it.
The moon seems to throw a "ghost-image" of itself onto the star cluster, probably caused by dusty optics.
But who cares?
Art is Art.

Hope you enjoyed the beer as much as the viewFunny you should post that, I was walking home from Tesco tonight with some beer and I looked up and said wow quite loud
That is just the way it is with these two. If the moon was thinner, it and the pleiades would be near the horizon, and the background sky would be very bright, it would be too easy to over expose the shot thenIt is a shame that there is no trade off between exposing to get the Pleaides, and not overexposing the Moon
Nah, it was just that the moon is quite bright, the lens is as clean as a whistleThe moon seems to throw a "ghost-image" of itself onto the star cluster, probably caused by dusty optics.

It's just a simple internal reflection, to be honest it's exceptionally good considering the moon brightness and exposure of the image, I've seen alot worse.Nah, it was just that the moon is quite bright, the lens is as clean as a whistle
