Total Solar Eclipse 09 - Who's going on what trip? was created by Frank Ryan
Dear members,
I am curious as to know who is travelling to this?
What package if any you are using and where you will be.
Also,
what are the chances of picking up something last minute?
Are there visa or other issues?

If you want cheap, then just fly Shanghai (€550 the last time I checked).
I'm going on the cruise with Roy Mayhugh. I know the ship isn't full so if you send him an email, he might be willing to give you a really good deal...
You do need a visa for China (and some vaccinations).

The offer is still there at 550 euro PLUS 30-kg of luggage if you do your homework.
My paper work for the visa is going to the Chinese Embassy this week. I was also very fortunate to obtain a special invitation from the National Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and which, for example, will facilitate the clearing of equipment through customs I will be bringing with me.
Anthony.

I am really tempted right now...
Are there any good offers for the ships left?
Someone PM'd me there a while back with an offer...
I can't remember who it was!?!
I just might be interested again seeing as the flights are
so cheap now.

If you think flights are cheap, you should see the accommodation! My four nights' stay at the #1 hotel in Hangzhou will cost me less than 150 euro and half of what I paid in Novo last year for an average hotel and room.
Go for it ... we are effectively a month away.
