North Dublin earlier tonight, aurora on the horizon and a draco meteor to the right and a plane to the left !


Oh, and by the way, a meteor storm was reported to be in progress across the water earlier today, check spaceweather.com

DRACONID METEOR OUTBURST UNDERWAY: The CMOR radar in Canada is picking up a major outburst of Draconid meteors commencing at 16 UT on Oct. 8th. "Radar rates are at 1000 meteors per hour," reports Bill Cooke of NASA's Meteoroid Environment Office. "This is greater than last year's outburst, and 5x the 2005 level." Cooke encourages northern sky watchers, especially in Europe where night is falling, to be alert for Draconid activity.

yea, visually very faint green aurora on the northern horizon spotted below the plough, seen it an 00.20, maybe it was brighter earlier ?
I was loosing a few degrees of the northern horizon due to hills and cloud

I could see no colour visualy, at 11.15pm
